The founders can offer over 20 years experience in the IT, Business and Telecommunications world between them.
Peter Mandal

Peter joined Ericsson in 1989 and has worked with Ericsson Ireland, Ericsson Sweden and Ericsson Australia.

Peter has held a large variety of technical, managerial and business roles while with Ericsson, from coding, troubleshooting, project management, systems management and product management to customer consulting and business management.

His roles at Ericsson have included:

  • Global Product Manager,
  • Regional Customer Solution Manager (Asia Pacific),
  • Business Manager for Asia Pacific.

Peter has dealt with over 60 Telecommunications and IT companies (customers, partners and vendors) on 6 continents and has extensive knowledge of the workings of small and large businesses from technical and business points of view.

Peter graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1988 with degrees in Mathematics and Engineering (Telecommunications, Systems and Control).
Mel McGerr

Mel McGerr worked with Ericsson and EDS as an IT professional for a number of years prior to joining Progression as a Director in 2003.

He has extensive experience including:

  • System Administrator Roles for large IT networks (LAN and WAN)
  • Front and Back Office Support Engineer for IT Systems and terminals in small to large networks
  • Field Support of computer and technology related equipment

Prior to joining Progression Ltd Mel was the Project Manager for the roll out of a large Wireless LAN for Roll Royce in Germany and it’s integration with Rolls Royce in the UK via the company’s WAN.
